So you have already decided to promote others’ products, now the first thing that you must take a closer look is: which product is best for you to promote. To be honest, there is no hard and fast measure that can tell you – “Oh, Okay, product A is the best product to promote.” Practically, there are millions of niches, and there are thousands of millions of affiliate products to promote. You first need to select your own niche and then you have to find the best affiliate product under that particular niche.
After you have decided your particular niche, you need to focus on analyzing the commission amount that you are going to receive after a sale is made. Admitted that commission amount is not everything for the selection of a particular affiliate product, but it is, of course, one of the most important factors for your affiliate business. In my advice, I would like to suggest: don’t select those products (unless they have extremely high conversion rate) that pay you commission less than 40%.

Now assume that you receive a commission of 40% of product A, which costs $150. It means that you are getting $60. But what about the product that pays you 50% commission, but costs $50? It means that you are getting $25. In such case, you should evaluate which one converts at a higher rate?
Make it sure that you are experiencing a good payment term when you are joining an affiliate program. There are some merchants who prefer to pay their affiliates even after 3-4 months interval. It is better that you join a standard network like ClickBank, Paydotcom, Hydra-Network, etc to start your venture. All of these affiliate networks are standard and do the best to co-operate their affiliates and handle all the transaction in an honest and safe manner.
It is important to check the sales page of the product you are about to promote. Sales page has a strong influence over the conversion rate. You must check it thoroughly. If you find the sales page does not attract you as a reader, you should simply pass it on, because it is quite likely that this should not be attractive to your visitors as well.
